Kelly Aaron was deeply inspired by Lucienne Day's textile designs. Fueled by her admiration for Day's work, Aaron envisioned the Calyx fixture to capture the essence of Day's iconic 'Calyx' fabric, which received the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1951. Aaron's creative vision was to bring Day's style to life in three dimensions, infusing the fixture with the same optimism and energy found in the fabric design.
