Which samples to order first
Start with the finishes that appear on the fixtures you are considering. If you are torn between a leather-wrapped pendant and a painted metal sconce, order both the leather and the color sample. Wood samples are ideal when your fixture has visible wood accents or you are pairing it with existing wood furniture.
How to use your samples in 4 steps
- Order the finishes you are considering: Pick the leather, wood, or color finishes that appear on the fixture you want. Order one sample per finish so you can compare them side by side. Common mistake: ordering only one finish. Without a comparison, you won't know if it's the right one.
